Cayuga Landscape Co is a garden center in Ithaca, New York. It is listed at 2712 N Triphammer Rd, Ithaca, NY 14850, which places it among the local businesses of Ithaca that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.

Garden centers and plant nurseries sell annuals, perennials, shrubs, trees, vegetables and houseplants, along with soil, mulch, fertilizer, pots and tools. Independent nurseries often grow part of their own stock and carry varieties that do well in the local climate, while big-box garden departments compete on price for common plants. Wholesale nurseries and growers sell to landscapers and sometimes to the public at volume prices; tree nurseries sell balled-and-burlapped and container trees and can deliver and plant large specimens. Specialty growers focus on bonsai, cactus and succulents, orchids or native plants, and hydroponics stores sell lights, nutrients and systems for growing indoors.

Ithaca is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Traffic in Ithaca peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I found a tree in a shabby back corner of the lot for a nice price. It looked like it had been sitting there for years with the label never updated which is why I thought the price was so good. Several others of the same type of tree were also there with the identical price so it didn't appear to be a mistake. I had the yard worker tag it for me. When I went to pay for it they decided the price was wrong. They shuffled me through 3 different workers waiting while one got off the phone and another worker calling the owner. They came back with a price 10 times what had been labeled...more than 300$. There was no way this was a 300$ tree based on what I've seen all around the area at other nurseries and even on their own lot. I was so disappointed. There was another tree labeled "sold" next to the one I had labeled. I wonder it they got the 30$ price or the 300$ price. It wouldn't be very fair if they got it for 30$ and wanted to charge me 300$. I don't think they'll be selling any of those trees for 300$. They'll probably just be sitting there until they grow into the ground like many ones around it.

I had the absolute best experience here today! Ember was incredibly helpful! Not only does Cayuga Landscape Co. carry hard to find plants, but their selection is honestly impressive. I had been searching everywhere for mountain laurel, and this was the only place I found with multiple varieties in stock, including the rare Elf type. On top of that, I was thrilled to find Dutchman’s pipe (which has been nearly impossible to track down locally), along with a beautiful purple-leaf bugbane and a spicebush, all at very fair prices. Even though it’s about an hour and a half drive for me, I will absolutely be making many return trips. This place is a gem, and I’ll be recommending it to all my friends and local garden groups.

I have been at Cayuga Landscape several times this summer to purchase plants and consult about plating projects at my house (note: I have not hired Cayuga Landscape to do any labor, only commenting on purchasing plants from them). Everyone I've interacted with there is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I've been to other garden centers in the area that may have slightly lower pricing, but their customer service is far below Cayuga Landscape. They gave me great suggestions of what to plant, how to care for it, and how to transport them to my house without damage. I am confidant I can go back there and ask for advice if any of my plants have issues and they will help me out - can't say the same for some of the other garden centers I've visited.
